our story

Founded in 1993, Calendar Holdings LLC is a privately owned company whose primary business is operating, building, and supporting seasonal specialty stores in shopping malls across the United State. Our three primary categories are calendars, games, and toys, and our retail brands include Calendar Club, Go! Calendars, Go! Games, and Go! Toys.

We started with 62 stores, and today we distribute and replenish products to more than 1200 stores from our headquarters and three warehouses in Austin, Texas.

We have grown steadily and successfully over the years and are continuing that positive growth today. We acquired the Day-by-Day Calendar Co. in 2011, and we will begin operating those stores in fall 2011. All of our stores can be found each fall in malls and outlet centers in all 50 states – with sizes that range from freestanding kiosks to 6,000 square foot, multi-concept superstores.

Our basic business model is simple. We buy a wide range of merchandise from the best vendors in our categories, we lease the best available store space from the best landlords in the country, and we enter into arrangements with the best retail operators in each market who set up and run our stores with high standards of customer service and merchandising.

Calendar Club also has multiple international partnerships; we operate additional concept store locations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Calendar Holdings also has an affiliate relationship with www.calendars.com, the world’s premier calendar web site, which is also based in Austin, Texas.

Today, we are highly respected as a dominant retailer and leader within the games and calendars categories. We strive to maintain our entrepreneurial spirit, and we are always on the lookout for new ideas and concepts. Over the years, we have won local and national awards and recognition for our innovative retailing, growth, and use of retail technology.
